It's taken me an embarrassing years to figure out that one of the most important traits I need in my future soulmate is that he love the outdoors. If I had a bumper sticker on my car, it would say, "I'd rather be camping" or "in the mountains" or "doing something outdoors." It's torture for me to be stuck inside on a nice day. Kayaking, canoeing, hiking, trekking, biking, staring at scenery, you name it. If it's away from civilization, I'm there.

My other great passion is animal welfare. I'm a veterinarian, vegetarian, and work for an animal rescue league. Hunters are not exactly my favorite people.

Other interests include traveling--I just finished a 4 month jaunt through Peru, India, and Nepal. I also enjoy taking ballroom dance lessons and ballet. I have a zest for learning about any topic that I don't know much about, and I have a need to get slightly philosophical with people. I'm slightly introverted, very respectful of other's wants/needs, rather easy-going, and low maintenance. I'm organized, practical, and a perfectionist. I'm a good listener, well-rounded, and open-minded. I want a stable and happy relationship with someone whom I can trust and love whole-heartedly. I just moved to DC and so far am loving it.....though I still dream of having a view of snow-capped mountains from my future backyard.
