Things most thankful for: My mother, father, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin and grandfather, Nature in all its splendor (mountains, beaches, canyons, rivers, forests), My closest friends, political and social freedom.

In my free time: Hiking: White Mountains in NH, Acadia National Park, the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC, Lincoln Park in NJ, and the Grand Canyon (which I don't remember well enough). I've also spent some time in Florianopolis, Brazil (a beautiful island off the southeast coast), where I did a great deal of biking and mountaineering. I also love to cook and be cooked for. I prefer home-made meals to restaurants and I absolutely despise fast food. I take my time when I cook- it's a meditation. I love to play racquetball (it's probably my only competitive streak). I would choose a day outside in the sun over a movie/nightclub/drinks 99.9% of the time.
